Investment Products, Retail Markets
Yanic Chagnon is Vice President, Investment Products, Retail Markets, at Manulife since 2015. In this role, he leads the overall product development and management function for the following product areas: asset allocation solutions, retail mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), structured products and fixed insurance products.
Mr. Chagnon has more than 20 years of experience in the retail investment products sector. From 2013 to 2015, he was Vice President, Retail Solutions, at Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada and oversaw the management and development of all retail savings and investment products. Prior to that, he held several senior management positions at the National Bank of Canada. Immediately before joining Standard Life, he held the position of Vice President, Investment Solutions, Wealth Management, where he was responsible for a broad range of retail investment products, including mutual funds, private pools, linked-notes and GICs.
Mr. Chagnon graduated from the University HEC Montréal with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree specialization in finance and economy, and holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in applied financial economics also from the University HEC Montréal. He participates in many investment fund industry committees; he is a member of the IFIC and CFIQ Board of Governors and a member of the Investment Products Advisory Committee.
